For my inaugural post I have chosen "Brazil". If I had to pick one movie as my all time favorite, this would be it. The 80s may very well be the worst decade there has ever been for film, but, it did produce some very high quality Sci-Fi (Blade Runner, Ghost Busters, The Thing). Although, I have to warn you that it is definitely a love it or hate it type of movie. It's truly bizarre, one of a kind experience. It's funny, fascinating, and visually stunning. The themes involving bureaucracy, everyday life, and terrorism are probably more relevant today than they were back in the 80s. There is so much going on in this film that I really don't know where to begin a synopses; so I'll refer you to the IMDb link and the following trailer.
